Brian James Kirk

Senior Marketing Strategist

Bio

One of Brolik’s Senior Marketing Strategists, Brian guides the strategy for one of our marketing teams, helping his strategists deliver exceptional results for our clients by ensuring the marketing tactics are aligned with critical business metrics. On a typical day at Brolik, Brian is often seen in meetings offering strategic guidance and helping to support client communication and expectations.

Before coming to Brolik, Brian co-founded and helped to build Technical.ly, a digital news publication covering startups and economic development that started in Philly and now has a presence in multiple East Coast cities, still going strong with a team of 15 after over 10 years. He also founded Bikeout, Philadelphias largest bike camping festival that has hosted 1,000+ attendees since 2016. Prior to his entrepreneurial career, he graduated from Temple University with a Journalism degree.

Understandably, because of his background, Brian is deeply passionate about leveraging the power of storytelling, content, and community to build a brand and reputation, and has a deep understanding of business growth and the challenges facing entrepreneurs. Now, he brings that passion and expertise to our clients on the daily.

Brian’s work has been featured in Harvard’s Nieman Journalism Lab & Philadelphia Magazine, was named a Top Media Innovator by Folio Magazine in 2016, and Young Entrepreneur of the Year by Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce in 2015.

When Brian is off duty, you can usually find him in the kitchen experimenting and perfecting food and cocktail recipes, or sampling the local restaurant fare. But his true passion lies in working to ensure the future and prosperity of small business, the lifeblood of the American economy. Luckily, that’s his day job.
