Front End Web Developer

Position Summary

We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent skills in fundamental front-end web technologies like HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript, as well as a working knowledge of modern tools, frameworks and CMS's. You will also need an eye for design detail and an excitement for creating interactive online experiences.

This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week that we are looking to fill as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Develop websites and other code-based projects using web standards and best practices
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Maintain and Incorporate new functionalities and features into existing websites on a variety of platforms
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize websites and applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Learn and implement third party APIs and web services
  • Collaborate with development, design and content teams to create things that are surprisingly good
  • Communicate thoroughly, thoughtfully and effectively with the team, clients and other contacts

Requirements

  • A relevant diploma in a related field
  • At least 3-4 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, and ES6
  • Strong understanding of modern content management systems and web development platforms
  • Strong understanding of responsive coding techniques and implementation
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Proficient understanding of Javascript and client-side scripting
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Basic understanding of JavaScript frameworks like Angular and ReactJS
  • Basic understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Basic understanding of search engine optimization principles

Field Test

After an initial interview, qualified candidates will also be judged on a 1-3 hour code project (completed off site) that we will administer. Content Strategist

Position Summary

Brolik is looking for an experienced Content Strategist who will be responsible for developing and executing content-based initiatives for our digital marketing and website projects. Primary duties include conceptualizing and developing long term content strategies for our clients, planning content models for marketing-focused websites, and managing and executing daily content creation.

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent analytical, research, written communication and problem solving skills. Candidates should have a strong focus and interest in creative strategy, with experience ranging from SEO, content planning and scheduling, content curation, creative writing, concept development and data analysis.

This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week that we are looking to fill as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop content strategies focused on long-term marketing goals
  • Develop and manage client editorial calendars to ensure success
  • Identify content gaps and recommend topics based on customer and SEO-focused research
  • Plan and write short and long-form content pieces
  • Create content models for websites and execute writing, or manage other writers to complete the work

Position Summary

We are searching for a highly-creative Marketing Manager to lead our clients marketing efforts. In this position, you will be responsible for all aspects of our client's marketing operations. Your central goal is to help meet our client's goals, grow their business and facilitate a long and fruitful relationship. Primary duties will include planning, implementing, and monitoring digital marketing campaigns across all digital networks.

To be successful in this role you will need experience in marketing, ad campaign planning and social media management. In addition to being an outstanding communicator, you will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.

This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week that we are looking to fill by the end of 2019.

Part Time Office Administrator

Position Summary

Brolik is looking for an experienced Part Time Office Administrator to provide administrative support for our operational team, with an emphasis on responsibilities related to bookkeeping. Primary duties include financial record keeping, managing payroll, and creating and sending invoices.

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong understanding of basic business financial practice, as well as functional experience with core financial management tools like spreadsheets and Quickbooks.

This is a part-time position at 5-10 hours per week that we are looking to fill as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, sales and payments using QuickBooks
  • Create and distribute invoices using Quickbooks
  • Follow up with customers on past due invoices
  • Comply with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations
  • Receive, record and deposit checks, cash and other payments
  • Manage, record and distribute payments for accounts payable
  • Maintain historical records by managing both digital and paper-based filing systems for the company, based on established procedure
  • Organize and review semi-monthly payroll, in collaboration with Financial Manager
  • Other project-based work that may be assigned from time to time
