About Brolik

What industries does Brolik specialize in?

We focus on service-based businesses, with our strongest track record in home services, consumer services, and professional services. With over two decades of experience, we’ve developed deep expertise in understanding sales cycles, creating effective feedback loops between marketing and CRMs, and setting clients up to rank, track, and grow.

That said, we’re not limited to these industries. If your business is growth-focused, values strategic marketing, and aligns with our collaborative approach, we’re open to working with companies in other sectors as well.

What kinds of businesses does Brolik work with?

Most of our clients are small to medium-sized businesses, typically between $1M-$20M in revenue and 5-50 employees. While that’s our usual, we also occasionally partner with businesses outside those parameters when there’s a strong strategic fit and a shared vision for where they’re headed. What unites our clients is their commitment to growth and their belief that marketing should be a driver of the business, not just a checklist. They’re looking for a true partner, not an order-taker. We’re especially effective for companies with lean internal teams (fewer than three in-house marketers) who want to build a high-performing marketing function from the outside in.

Whether you’re securing six-figure long-term service contracts or completing $15,000 home renovation projects, our approach is adaptable. We’ve guided clients through major economic shifts, including the 2008 recession and the COVID-19 pandemic, helping businesses navigate change and emerge stronger.

What makes Brolik different from other marketing agencies?

We go deep with every client, building meaningful partnerships that often last 4-5 years, and sometimes nearly a decade. Every engagement receives senior-level attention, and our account strategists work with just 4-6 clients maximum so they aren't stretched across dozens of accounts. We’re data-driven and results-oriented, focused on growing revenue, pipeline efficiency, and ROI across all stages. Our strategy is grounded in real-time data, rapid iteration, and an unrelenting focus on your business goals, not just surface-level markers. This way, we’re not just delivering short-term wins. We’re building sustainable customer acquisition engines, week after week, that deliver the results that matter.

Would Brolik be a good fit for my business?

We’re best suited for owners and leadership teams who want an involved, strategic partner, not just a channel specialist. If you prefer to run marketing yourself and hire vendors for execution only, we may not be the right match. If you’re looking for a collaborative, long-term partner to help grow your business, we’re likely a great fit.

How do I get started with Brolik?

Your first conversation will be with one of our founders to discuss your business, goals, and challenges. From there, we’ll prepare a proposal outlining scope, approach, deliverables, and fees. After reviewing and refining together, we’ll move into a pre-kickoff questionnaire and officially launch the engagement.

What does a long-term partnership with Brolik look like?

Long-term clients see us as an extension of their leadership team. We’ll help guide marketing and growth decisions, while also advising on areas such as staffing, new service launches, and market expansion. Expect monthly strategy check-ins, quarterly ROI reviews, and annual planning sessions, all to keep things proactive and prevent stagnation.

Can you share case studies or success stories?

Yes! We’ve partnered with a wide range of clients to deliver measurable growth and meaningful results. You can explore our portfolio of case studies and success stories to see the work we’ve done and the impact we’ve made.

How often will I receive updates or reports?

We check in regularly to share progress, gather your feedback, and make sure we're all rowing in the same direction. As our partnership develops and trust builds, you might find yourself comfortable with us taking the lead on day-to-day decisions, but you'll always have the opportunity to review and weigh in on key work. We aim to keep communication consistent, transparent, and tailored to what works best for you.

Learn more about how this works for marketing clients below.

How do you handle feedback or revisions?

We build feedback into every stage of our process. For marketing retainers, we regularly ask for feedback and approvals on strategy, campaigns, and content, and in our weekly check-ins. For projects like branding, video, or web, we follow a structured review process with defined rounds of feedback to keep work moving forward without backtracking. This ensures you have multiple opportunities to shape the final product while keeping timelines and budgets on track.

How flexible is your process as our needs evolve?

We have proven processes that provide structure, but we’re built to adapt. As your priorities shift and opportunities arise, we can adjust our approach to stay aligned with your goals. This flexibility comes naturally with our marketing work, and for web, branding, and video projects, we’re always open to adjustments to ensure you’re satisfied with the final result.

“They’re outstanding at adapting to whatever we need and solving both marketing and technical problems.” - Tim McManus, Director of Marketing, Joe Hand Promotions

What happens if we need to pause or shift priorities mid-engagement?

We understand priorities can change due to budget shifts, slow seasons, or new opportunities. Over 21 years, through multiple economic downturns, recessions, and COVID, we’ve adapted with clients to slow down, speed up, or temporarily pause work when needed, always aiming to come out stronger together.

For our marketing clients, we take an agile approach that allows priorities to shift weekly or monthly. If new priorities emerge mid-month, we'll simply push lower-priority items to the following month. This ensures we're always focused on what matters most to your business right now.

Do you provide training or documentation for anything you build?

Yes. We can train your team on the tools and systems we implement. Training is typically delivered via live call or recorded video walkthroughs, depending on your team’s needs, so you always have the guidance and resources to use your new tools confidently.

How can I end the relationship?

While we hope every client approaches our work together as a long-term partnership, you can end the relationship at any time with 30-days notice.

Digital Marketing

What digital marketing services does Brolik offer?

Brolik’s digital marketing retainers are flexible, results-driven, and designed to adapt to your business’s evolving needs. We take an integrated approach, assessing all tools, channels, and tactics that make the most sense for your business, and adjust monthly based on performance data to maximize results. Key components include:

  • Growth Strategy - Developing growth roadmaps that identify opportunities, set measurable goals, and align marketing initiatives with your business objectives to drive sustainable, scalable results

  • Campaign Creation & Management - Creating campaign concepts, creative assets, and channel-specific executions, then managing them across platforms

  • Analytics & Optimization - Monitoring performance, tracking ROI and KPIs, and making data-driven adjustments to ensure we are driving results

  • Positioning, Messaging & Copy - Defining your unique market position and crafting compelling messaging that differentiates your brand and resonates with your target audience

  • Content Strategy & SEO - Creating full-funnel, high-quality content and improving search visibility to attract and convert customers

  • Website Optimization - Making continuous improvements to site performance, UX, and conversion pathways

  • Paid Digital Advertising - Managing ads across Google, social platforms, and other channels to drive leads and revenue.

  • Email Marketing - Designing and executing campaigns to nurture and engage your audience

  • Social Media Marketing – Managing content, campaigns, and engagement to grow your audience and support broader marketing goals

What's not included in the marketing retainer?

Large projects such as video shoots, rebranding, or website redesign/replatform. Everything else, including design, development, content, paid media, strategy, and so on, is pulled from the retainer.

How does Brolik track and measure campaign performance?

At the start of every engagement, we set clear goals and KPIs and build a performance scorecard to track progress on a weekly basis. We review results through weekly reporting and monthly strategic conversations.

We focus on hard, bottom-line metrics, like sales-qualified leads, revenue, customer acquisition cost, and customer lifetime value. We always implement end-to-end tracking, giving a detailed view of campaign impact and enabling data-driven decisions for continuous growth.

How quickly can we expect to see results?

The speed of results depends on several factors, including the maturity of your business, understanding of your audience, sales processes, and readiness for change. For companies with untapped marketing potential, we can often make an impact quickly, especially with paid media campaigns. We strive to show positive indicators within the first few months of the retainer period, with a clear plan to improve return on investment.

However, results may take longer if your business has long sales cycles, limited capacity to handle growth, operational gaps such as an unresponsive sales team, or product/market fit issues. Our role is to identify what needs to change and guide strategy, but the speed of impact also relies on your team’s ability to act on recommendations and invest in growth.

What channels will we use to reach my audience?

The answer to this comes out of our Strategy Phase. It’s not until the end of this phase that we put together a plan including what specific channels we will choose, how we will allocate media spend, and what our testing strategy will be. We avoid putting the cart before the horse by working to deeply understand your business, your market, and your audience before deciding on the channels we think will be most effective and efficient.

Who will be working on my account?

Most communication will be with an experienced Account Strategist. The marketing manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the channels and tactics, and is supervised by a Growth Director. There are other supporting team members in content, design, development, and marketing execution. However, you will not communicate with these supporting team members regularly.

How does onboarding work?

Once we have a master services agreement (MSA) and scope of work (SOW) in place, we begin collecting information, sending over a questionnaire about basic marketing and sales information prior to our Discovery Workshop. In this kickoff meeting, we discuss your goals, review target audience personas, discuss strengths and weaknesses, and talk about the business model as it relates to marketing.

We then send over a checklist to begin the process of assessing their platforms and accounts, and immediately begin working on the first deliverable of our Strategy Phase, Goals & KPIs.

How often will we communicate?

We provide initiative and performance updates on a weekly basis. We also schedule monthly strategy meetings with our clients to review progress, priorities, and plan future initiatives together, where we go over our performance scorecard together and discuss any shifting priorities or needs. On an annual basis, we provide a strategy for the next year of the retainer, built off what we have learned so far.

Do you manage social channels and create all of our content?

We often manage the planning and execution of organic social media for our clients, but it depends on the internal resources of each client. Some clients handle posting to their own social accounts to allow us to use our retainer hours elsewhere.

Do you manage ad spend?

Yes, we manage client advertising campaigns and budgets through our ongoing retainer. However, unlike most agencies, we do not bill and pay out the ad spend, and we do not take a 10%-15% fee from all spend. Instead, it is billed directly to the client from the advertising platforms.

How do you manage initiatives and projects?

We plan and manage all monthly initiatives in a detailed Initiative Calendar, so our clients always know what we have planned for the month, what activities are in progress, and what has been completed within the retainer period.

How long are your contracts?

For a new client engagement, a 6-month contract can be offered. Then, renewals are structured as 1-year contracts with quarterly performance reviews.

If things aren’t going as expected, can I get out of the contract?

Although it is uncommon, if a client wants to terminate, we ask for 30-days notice.

How do you work with other in-house team members or other agencies/consultants?

We consider ourselves to be a quarterback on the marketing side, helping to facilitate progress and growth for our clients. This means orchestrating between team members on our side as well as on the client side. This means we sometimes help to guide/support client freelancers, subcontractors, and internal team members, and make sure everyone is rowing in the same direction.

How much do you outsource work?

All strategy and project management work is handled in-house. Most of our execution work is done in-house as well, with the exception of specialty needs that arise. In this case, we manage the recruiting and performance of outside freelancers or subcontractors, many of whom have been working with us for over 10 years.

Do you take commission on ad spend?

No, we do not take a commission or margin on client ad spend. Our ad spend recommendations are solely based on the best interests of your company, with no ulterior motive outside of making sure your business is growing. This structure separates us from other agencies because we are not incentivized to increase your ad spend to increase our commission. We want to optimize your marketing spend to best fit your needs.

How much do you charge?

Our fee levels vary by client, but it is common for our fees to range from $7,000-10,000 per month during the strategy phase, and $5,000-8,000 per month once the retainer begins. We manage a block of hours per month, calculated using our blended hourly rate of $215 per hour.

Web Design

What kinds of websites does Brolik build?

We take two main approaches depending on your goals, budget, and timeline:

  • Template-Based Websites - Built on platforms like WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, Shopify, or Wix, these are best for startups and businesses that don’t need a lot of custom or complex functionality. They typically include 3-7 page types, follow a 8-12 week timeline, and keep costs lower by using pre-built templates.

  • Custom Websites - Designed and developed from the ground up using platforms like Craft CMS and WordPress, these projects are tailored for larger organizations with complex needs. They often involve advanced integrations, custom features, and fully scalable architecture. Timelines range from 4-8 months, with budgets typically in the $40,000-$100,000 range.

In short, the only real limitation is time and budget. Brolik can deliver anything from a fast, efficient launch to a fully custom digital platform. We align the platform with your goals and budget, not the other way around.

What’s included in a website redesign?

Every redesign project at Brolik includes both strategy and execution. We don’t just refresh the look, we build you a new site tailored to your business goals and your users’ needs. A typical redesign includes:

  • Discovery & Planning - Understanding your audience, goals, and challenges

  • Information Architecture - Sitemap, navigation, and content structure

  • Content Strategy - Recommendations for on-page messaging, copy, and hierarchy

  • UX & UI Design - Wireframes, visual design, and user interface elements

  • Component Development - Building a flexible design system for future scalability

  • Page Templates & Build - Creating pages using modular components

  • SEO Best Practices - Optimized architecture, mobile-friendly design, and technical fundamentals

  • Testing & Launch - Quality assurance across browsers, devices, and performance

Each project is custom, so the exact scope can shift based on needs, but the end result is always a modern, flexible site designed to grow with your business.

Is hosting and maintenance included?

We’ll set you up with a hosting provider so that you fully own and control your website. You pay the provider directly for hosting. Brolik doesn’t resell hosting, and we don’t “hold” your site.

For ongoing support, we offer an optional web retainer for maintenance, updates, and enhancements, starting at $2,5000 per month, depending on the amount of support you need. This is completely separate from hosting.

Can you integrate with my third-party tools and CRM?

Yes. Brolik works with a wide range of platforms and integrations, selecting the most appropriate tools for each client during the planning phase. If your team already uses a specific CRM or third-party platform, we can integrate with it and ensure it works seamlessly within your website and marketing ecosystem.

Will I be able to make updates to the site?

You’ll have access to the user-friendly CMS (content management system) to update the content on your website, including articles, static pages, team bios, photos, copy, and more. However, we generally recommend that major structural changes be made by a web developer, to ensure the stability of the website and design.

What can hold a website project up?

Projects can be delayed if critical assets aren’t ready — this includes imagery and other media, and complete site copy. For new websites, creating or rewriting full copy can be a significant undertaking, and delays often occur when clients need extra time to provide or approve content. We offer copywriting and photo/video shoots as add-on services, as long as we have sufficient notice to complete the work before it is needed for the website launch.

Please note: changes beyond or additions to the original scope can cause delays and may also incur additional costs.

Can Brolik help with website copywriting?

Yes. Website copywriting is available as an add-on service, where our team develops polished, conversion-focused copy that reflects your brand voice and speaks directly to your audience.

Will my website be optimized for SEO?

As part of every website project, we implement SEO fundamentals such as clean code, fast load speeds, mobile responsiveness, and an SEO-friendly site architecture. These best practices ensure your site is well-positioned for search visibility from day one.

That said, strong SEO performance requires an ongoing strategy that goes beyond the build itself. Things like keyword research, high-quality content creation, and link-building efforts. While we set the foundation, continued SEO work is key to achieving long-term results.

Branding

What’s included in a branding engagement with Brolik?

At its core, a branding project with Brolik includes the foundational elements of your brand identity: logo design, brand mark, iconography, color palette, typography, and brand guidelines. We create mockups to show how your brand will look in the real world and, if needed, can extend into a second stage to apply your brand across business cards, letterhead, PowerPoint decks, event signage, and more.

A branding project can also include brand positioning and messaging, identifying your opportunity and advantage in the market, and defining how to communicate your unique value to your audience.

We also offer naming services as an optional part of a branding project. Our goal is to develop a name that reflects your brand personality and helps you stand out in the market. As part of our process, we research trademarks and available domain names to ensure the name you choose is both usable and legally viable.

How does Brolik help develop or evolve a brand?

Brolik works with clients to understand their current market position, business vision, and competitive landscape. We help define how a brand should stand out, both visually and conceptually, so it aligns with long-term goals.

As businesses grow and markets change, we also help evolve brands with thoughtful updates, ensuring they stay modern, relevant, and consistent with the company’s current identity and state of business. This can range from small refinements to a more significant refresh, depending on needs.

How long does a branding project typically take?

Branding projects typically take 8-10 weeks, depending on the scope, deliverables, and rounds of feedback. We typically use a three-round review process to refine the brand and ensure it meets your vision before finalizing all deliverables.

Do you work with internal stakeholders or executive teams during branding?

Yes. We make it a priority to involve leadership teams and key stakeholders throughout the branding process. Because branding decisions can have high stakes for a company, we ensure everyone is heard and aligned.

This collaboration is built into our discovery phase and workshops, often using interactive exercises to make teams comfortable sharing ideas and perspectives. The result is a brand that reflects both the company’s vision and the input of those who guide it.

Video Production

What types of video content does Brolik produce?
  • What types of video content does Brolik produce?
    • Brolik produces a wide range of video content, tailored to connect with real audiences and highlight the people behind your business. Our approach has evolved from traditional corporate and TV-style videos to treating video as a fluid, ongoing part of marketing. Instead of one-off projects, we create content that fits seamlessly into your overall strategy, ensuring consistent storytelling and audience engagement across all channels. Our work includes:
      • Interview videos - Podcasts, customer testimonials, executive interviews, thought leadership content, and expert roundtables.

      • Corporate or Brand videos - Company overviews, culture showcases, team introductions, mission and values videos, and brand positioning pieces.

      • Educational videos - How-to tutorials, product demos, training content, webinar recordings, and explainer videos.

      • Animated videos - Motion graphics, explainer animations, and data visualizations.

      • Social media videos - Short-form content optimized for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other platforms to drive engagement and reach.

      • And many more! We have decades of experience creating all kinds of video content. Reach out to discuss your ideas and needs.

How much does video production cost?

Video production costs vary based on scope, complexity, and production requirements. Most of our packages include a half-day or full-day shoot, typically ranging from $3,000-$10,000 per day. Costs depend on factors like crew, studio rental, props, lighting, sound, casting, and location fees.

For clients creating regular video content, post-production typically runs $2,000-$4,000 per month for a series of video deliverables designed for multiple channels, such as long-form videos and short social edits. These packages often include quarterly half-day shoots to keep content flowing consistently across marketing channels.

Ultimately, pricing is determined once the project scope and goals are clearly defined, ensuring the production meets your business objectives.

What’s the typical timeline and process for a video project?

Most video projects follow three phases: pre-production, production, and post-production.

  • Pre-production - Planning, scripting, and scheduling; can take a few weeks to a month, depending on complexity.

  • Production - The shoot itself; usually a single day or multiple days, depending on the project scope. This is by far the most expensive aspect of a video project on an hourly basis, due to the need to rent cameras and other equipment, hire crew and any actors or models, renting locations, and other expenses. Since these costs accrue daily, we aim to keep this phase efficient.

  • Post-production - Editing, audio mixing, and polishing the final product. This phase can range from a few weeks to several months, depending on project size and the level of refinement needed for publishing.

Does Brolik handle scripting and storyboarding?

Yes. Scripting and storyboarding are part of our pre-production process. We create scripts or outline treatments to ensure every video covers the right topics and asks the right questions, setting the stage for a smooth and effective shoot.

Can Brolik create videos for specific platforms (YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)?

Yes. From the start, our video production process is marketing-focused, taking into account the requirements of each platform. We plan for different formats, horizontal, vertical, square, and ensure your videos are optimized for YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram Stories and Reels, and more. This way, your content performs effectively wherever your audience engages with it.

How do you ensure video content aligns with our brand?

Before production begins, we make sure we fully understand your brand, its personality, voice, tone, visual style, imagery, and target audience. All video content is developed in alignment with your brand guidelines to ensure consistency and authenticity across every piece of content.

Can Brolik handle client-provided footage or collaborate with in-house teams?

Yes. If you already have footage, we can manage post-production to create polished, ready-to-publish content. For clients with in-house production capabilities, we can collaborate on pre-production or integrate their work into the process. We adapt to fit your current resources and needs.

Do you have aerial video capabilities (drone, flyovers)?

Yes, we offer aerial video services, including drone footage and flyovers, as part of our video production capabilities.

Do you do animation?

Yes, we offer animation services, including 2D graphic and title animations and AI-generated video content.
